Welcome to the West Cork Surf School, Cork's premier surf school on the south coast, situated on the pristine blue flag sandy beach of Inchydoney and located two miles from Clonakilty in the heart of West Cork, Ireland. We are the first established Surf School in Cork and are recognised by the Irish Surfing Association (ISA).


At West Cork Surf School our instructors are in the water with you at all times to make you feel comfortable; and to help you reach that ultimate goal of catching your first wave!

We run lessons all year round and are open seven days a week throughout the summer. During the winter months we cater for individuals and small/large groups on Saturdays and Sundays and large groups (8+) during the week. Individuals and groups are welcome.

At the West Cork Surf School we provide wetsuits, surfboards and if needed, boots, hoods and gloves. Changing rooms are also provided.

Inchydoney beach is a kilometre of golden sandy beaches and picturesque settings compares to no other in terms of a surfing beach. A low gradient shoreline makes ideal conditions for beginners and intermediate surfers. While, a broad tidal range offers up some excellent sandbars for the more advanced surfer looking to top up on the adrenaline levels!

Open to swells rolling in from all sides of the Atlantic Ocean, Bay of Biscay and the English Channel; Inchydoney is hard to beat for consistent year round surfing.
